The Al-Mussaib Technical Institute held a celebration marking the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, organized by the Unit of Distinguished Abilities under the supervision of Ms. Ghufran Thamer, with the attendance of several faculty members and students. The ceremony commenced with the national anthem and the recitation of Al-Fatiha in memory of Iraq’s martyrs. Afterwards, Mr. Muhannad Kareem, lecturer and head of the Educational Guidance and Psychological Counseling Unit, delivered a welcoming speech emphasizing the importance of supporting persons with disabilities and recognizing them as active and creative members of society. The Dean of the Institute, Assistant Professor Dr. Malik Ne’ma Hawas Al-Khazraji, then addressed the audience, stressing the need to provide a comprehensive educational environment for this important group. He affirmed that disability does not hinder the pursuit of ambitions or scientific achievements, wishing them continued success and progress. At the conclusion of the event, participants with disabilities were honored with the Creativity Shield in recognition of their perseverance and excellence, in an atmosphere that reflected genuine care and support for this esteemed group.
