Al-Musayyab Technical Institute is one of the important and ancient formations in Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University since its establishment in 1978-1979 under the name of the Agricultural Technical Institute/Al-Musayyab within the Technical Institutes Foundation. The Student Affairs and Registration Division is considered one of the important and vital divisions and the artery of the institute that deals with students and everything related to their affairs from admission, registration, transfer, hosting, etc., as this division is the gateway to the institute towards its scientific and administrative departments with students, and from it the student's university journey begins theoretically and practically starting from his acceptance and registration in the institute until the student obtains the graduation document to begin his practical journey in life based on what he received of sciences and knowledge during his university studies at the institute, or to complete his academic journey to obtain a higher academic degree. The division is also a source of priorities for students of the abolished institutes (Agricultural Technical Institute Baghdad/Abu Ghraib and Bani Saad Technical Institute).
Organizational structure of the Student Affairs and Registration Division: 1- Admission and Registration Unit. 2- Graduates Unit (Documents and Certifications). 3- Student Affairs Follow-up Unit. 4- Evening Study Unit.
Admission and Registration Unit:
The most prominent tasks carried out by the unit are the following:
Receiving the results of general and special admission and other channels and verifying their inputs according to what is required to implement the instructions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and circulating the admission results to the student registration committees. Informing the accepted students of the requirements of the registration process from preparatory study documents, supporting documents, medical examination and other required documents and according to the status of the accepted student according to the application channels. Registering the accepted students according to the accepted academic specialization and receiving the registration requirements from preparatory study documents, supporting documents, medical examination and others and preparing them for the purpose of completing the students’ paper files. And archiving them electronically and updating that archive whenever there is something new in the student’s academic journey.
Student Affairs Follow-up Unit:
The most prominent tasks carried out by the unit are the following: Following up the progress of the institute’s students in all aspects related to their theoretical and practical studies and implementing the student’s fundamental requirements based on the laws, instructions and regulations of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and overcoming all obstacles that students encounter during their university years at the institute. Issuing administrative orders for accepting and starting new students, failing students due to absence, disciplinary penalties, and promotion of registration.
Auditing students’ preparatory study documents according to the document auditing system in effect by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Creating a database for students annually, both paper and electronic, for all departments and all academic stages.
Issuing letters of continuity support for students wishing to obtain them according to the student’s request and after ensuring that the student is continuing his studies according to the database and according to the regulations in effect at the institute.
Completing statistics, and responding to letters received regarding all students.
Promoting student transfer transactions to and from similar institutes according to the ministerial regulations and instructions.
Graduates Unit (Documents and Certifications)
The most prominent tasks carried out by the unit are the following:
Issuing graduation approval letters for students according to administrative orders and in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Issuing approvals and graduation documents for graduates after auditing their administrative orders, in addition to graduation documents with grades in Arabic and translated and graduation certificates. Answer the books of health of the chests for graduates.
Evening Study Unit:
The most prominent tasks performed by the unit are the following: This unit is concerned with everything required for evening study, which begins with preparing the application form for evening study according to the departments included and receiving the applicants and checking their priorities according to the controls and instructions specific to the study. Registering students accepted for study and checking their documents and papers according to the system in effect by the ministry. Follow up on everything related to the student’s career, starting from his registration until his graduation and issuing graduation documents to them.
