The Women’s Affairs Unit at Al-Mussaib Technical Institute, in cooperation with the Public Relations and Media Directorate of the Babil Brigade/Federal Police, held a seminar on digital crisis management and how women should behave when exposed to blackmail. The seminar was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Malik Nima Hawas Al-Khazraji, Dean of Al-Musayyab Technical Institute, and a number of faculty members and students. The seminar included:
1. Raising women’s digital awareness of the dangers of cyber blackmail and its modern methods.
2. Empowering women with psychological and legal tools to deal with blackmail without submission or guilt.
3. Spreading the culture of reporting and emphasizing the role of official bodies in providing protection and assistance.
4. Explaining the steps for proper behavior when exposed to a digital crisis through realistic scenarios.
5. Emphasizing the importance of digital protection and privacy when using the internet and social media.
The seminar addressed:
1. Increasing the percentage of women able to act confidently and responsibly when exposed to any form of digital blackmail.
2. Encouraging relevant institutions to develop electronic protection programs targeting the most vulnerable groups.
3. Building a community, psychological, and legal support network for affected women.
4. Strengthening partnerships between state institutions, support centers, and civil society to combat cyber-extortion.
5. Creating behavioral change among women in their approach to digital privacy and online content.
The seminar was attended by Colonel Nomas Al-Khalidi, Director of Public Relations and Media for the Babylon Brigade/Federal Police.
