The Department of Mechanical Technologies at Al-Mussaib Technical Institute, affiliated with Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, organized a training course entitled “Dynamic Systems Analysis Using MATLAB Simulink”, presented by Dr. Ruaa Mohammed Muneer, with the participation of several institute staff members.
The course aimed to enhance participants’ practical skills in analyzing dynamic systems—an essential topic in mechanical engineering—by studying the behavior of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems over time and understanding their response to external variables.
Course Topics:
- Introduction to dynamic systems and their engineering applications.
- Utilizing MATLAB Simulink for modeling, simulation, and analysis.
- Representing systems using interactive blocks and building realistic models.
- Analyzing various types of systems:
- Mechanical systems (motion and vibration).
- Electrical and electronic systems.
- Hydraulic and thermal systems.
- Automatic control systems (open-loop and closed-loop).
Program Significance:
MATLAB Simulink is one of the most prominent engineering analysis tools, offering a visual and interactive interface that facilitates understanding variable relationships. It enables the study of system stability, time response, and frequency behavior, helping students and researchers bridge theoretical knowledge with practical application in line with modern technological advancements in engineering and control fields.
This course is part of a series of scientific activities organized by the institute to develop the technical competencies of its academic and technical staff and enhance their proficiency in using advanced engineering software.
