Al-Mussaib Technical Institute at Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, in cooperation with Ma’an Foundation, organized a scientific seminar entitled “Women and Sustainable Development in Accordance with the United Nations Resolution.” The seminar was delivered by Dr. Abdul Karim Al-Khafaji as part of activities aimed at strengthening community awareness of women’s vital role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
The seminar was attended by the Dean of Al-Musayyib Technical Institute, Assistant Professor Dr. Malik Nima Huwas Al-Khazraji, along with the Administrative and Financial Assistant Dr. Zaid Hikmat, the Scientific Assistant Dr. Mohammed Hadi, the Head of the Women’s Affairs Unit Dr. Marwa Al-Shammari, retired Major General Nahidh Al-Shammari, Dr. Sabri from Ahl Al-Bayt University, in addition to a number of faculty members and staff.
The seminar addressed the importance of empowering women and enhancing their active participation in various fields of development, emphasizing their central role in building a balanced and sustainable society in line with international resolutions and directives issued by the United Nations.
