The Department of Water Resources Technology at Al‑Mussaib Polytechnic College organized a training course entitled: “Hydrodynamics in Channels and Water Control Structures”, with the participation of several faculty and staff members.

Lectures were delivered by Prof. Dr. Amir Hashim Hussein, Prof. Dr. Wissam Abdul‑Abbas Abdullah, and Lecturer Zaid Fathi Kazem. The sessions addressed specialized scientific topics related to the principles of hydrodynamics in open channels and water control structures, with emphasis on engineering applications concerning water movement, flow behavior, and the mechanisms of designing and operating control facilities.

The course aimed to enhance the scientific knowledge and practical skills of participants, thereby improving their competence in the field of water resources engineering and supporting their professional development in line with the requirements of technical and engineering practice.

This program is part of the department’s ongoing scientific and training activities, designed to foster the skills of college staff and strengthen their academic and practical capabilities, keeping pace with modern advancements in water resources technology.
