The department adopts a general mission based in its general form on the framework of technical education in Iraq, a mission that it seeks to achieve every year to highlight the face of distinction and the general objectives focus on graduating national technical cadres at a level of education and training that is able to support the process of technical development to keep pace with global technical developments. The message includes:
1. Using computer and internet technologies in education and training
2. Activating the relationship with the private sector in the fields of training
3. Following up on the development of curricula and training plans
4. Interacting with the labor market and the needs of society in rehabilitation and training
