Scholarships and Cultural Relations Unit

The Scholarships and Cultural Relations Unit is responsible for organizing and managing matters related to scholarships, fellowships, and academic coordination with universities and educational institutions inside and outside Iraq. It also works to strengthen scientific and cultural cooperation by following up on postgraduate programs, supervising procedures for academic missions and scholarships, as well as documenting academic relations and facilitating the exchange of expertise. These efforts contribute to the development of the institution’s scientific and research standards.


Objectives of the Scholarships and Cultural Relations Unit




  • Organizing and managing scholarship and fellowship programs inside and outside Iraq.




  • Developing scientific and cultural cooperation with universities and academic institutions.




  • Supporting academic exchange and sharing of research expertise among educational institutions.




  • Following up on the affairs of sponsored students and those studying abroad.




  • Strengthening academic partnerships that contribute to the advancement of education and research.




  • Facilitating nomination and admission procedures for scholarship programs and training courses.




  • Contributing to raising the scientific level of staff members through study and training opportunities.
