Al-Mussaib Technical Institute

The Technical Institute of Musayyib was established in 1979 in Babil Governorate, becoming the first agricultural educational institution in the Middle Euphrates region, with a campus spanning about 1,193 dunams. It began with four agricultural departments that formed its initial foundation, before later expanding to include specializations in engineering, administration, and medical technology. It was not merely an academic institution, but soon became a civilizational and scientific landmark for Babil, and a key source of technical cadres in Iraq. From its agricultural beginnings, the institute evolved to meet the needs of society and the labor market, producing generations of graduates who contributed to advancing agricultural, industrial, administrative, and medical development across the country.
