The Department of Animal Production Technologies is one of the departments of the Mussaib Technical Institute, which was established in 1979 AD. The department had a fundamental role in serving the agricultural and industrial sectors and the private sector by graduating many students of both genders who obtained a technical diploma after studying for two years, in which the student studied Many courses related to the breeding and production of various animals such as ruminants, poultry and fish. The department consists of the head of the department, the rapporteur, and many prominent professors, technicians, and administrators in all fields of animal production and other supporting specialties. The Department of Animal Production Technologies deals with academic and applied aspects of animal production Poultry, research, breeding, genetic improvement, management and control of animal diseases or those that are transmitted from animals to humans. The department focuses on research directed towards increasing animal productivity in our dear country, Iraq.









Department message


The department's mission is to provide the fields of work with distinguished technicians in the field of animal production techniques in a way that serves development plans and contributes effectively to the implementation of agricultural projects, especially (animal production), providing scientific consultations, preparing economic feasibility studies, designing agricultural projects, and publishing solid research that supports the wheel of science and education, as well as providing technical services. Contributing to solving current problems, especially those related to the shortage of livestock and low production rates.
