The Department of Water Resources Techniques at Al-Mussaib Technical Institute, part of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, organized a training workshop entitled:
“Hydrostatic Forces Acting on Gates”, with the participation of a number of staff members and students.

- Explanation of the concept of hydrostatic forces affecting water gates.
- Methods of analyzing and calculating these forces, and their impact on the structural design of gates to ensure efficiency and operational safety.
- Review of the main factors influencing gate behavior under different operating conditions.
- Discussion of practical applications of these forces in water facilities, and their importance in the design and operation of dams, canals, and hydraulic structures to meet technical and safety requirements.
