A specialized scientific workshop entitled “Biopolymer Materials – المواد البوليمرية الحيوية” was presented by lecturer Mr. Noor Abbas Hussein, with the participation of a number of students and graduates from the technological departments of the institute.
The workshop addressed the latest concepts related to biopolymer materials, including their definition and types, with emphasis on their key mechanical and thermal properties. It also reviewed modern manufacturing methods, particularly 3D printing techniques, in addition to discussing the future applications of these materials in engineering and environmental fields, highlighting their role in promoting sustainability and reducing reliance on conventional materials harmful to the environment.
The workshop witnessed notable interaction from participants, as many questions and scientific contributions were raised, enriching the discussion and enhancing students’ practical understanding by linking theoretical aspects with real-world applications.
