The Department of Accounting Techniques at Al-Mussaib Technical Institute organized a workshop titled “Workplace Alienation: Causes and Treatment Strategies.” The workshop addressed the concept of workplace alienation, the key factors that lead to employees feeling isolated within their work environment, and the strategies that can be adopted to reduce this phenomenon.

The workshop was attended by a number of the institute’s staff members. Lecturer Ahmed Hadi Obeid, a faculty member in the Department of Accounting Techniques, explained that employees’ feelings of isolation are among the common issues in organizational environments. He noted that several factors contribute to this issue, including social exclusion and workplace cliques, a lack of belonging and representation, poor management or unclear expectations, misalignment with institutional values or job roles, modern workplace challenges, and inadequate social integration for new employees.

He further indicated that mitigating the effects of such isolation requires well-planned strategies implemented over the short, medium, and long term, in order to foster a healthy work environment that supports productivity and institutional belonging.
