The Department of Civil Technologies is regarded as one of the distinguished academic departments, given its essential role in various aspects of civil life, including construction works, infrastructure, roads, bridges, and related fields.
Established in 1995, the department comprises two specialized branches:
Building and Construction Technologies
Computer-Aided Drafting Technologies
The primary objective of both branches is to prepare qualified technical personnel capable of implementing diverse civil works. This is achieved through the use of modern construction materials, in addition to conducting laboratory and field tests. Graduates are also trained to participate in the execution of maps, land surveys, quantity and measurement calculations, drafting technical drawings, and producing architectural models and prototypes for civil engineering projects.
Finally, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to my colleagues in the department. We aspire to remain worthy of carrying the academic responsibility entrusted to us, and we seek success with the guidance of God Almighty.
Vision
The department´s vision is to be a pioneer and leader in the field of modern civil technologies at the level of education and scientific research ,and using these techniques by providing the graduate by experiences which it qualifies for effective participation in building and construction by planning and drawing ,and implementation of buildings ,ways, and sewerage networks.
Mission
It is summed up by supplying the work fields with distinguished technical technicians in the fields of civil engineering to serve development plans, And effective contribution to executing the engineering projects ,providing scientific advice ,economic feasibility studies ,engineering projects design and publishing sound scientific research supports the wheel of science and learning. IN addition to providing technical services and contributing to resolving current problems ,especially these related to country´s infrastructure.
Objective
Graduating technical staff specialized in the field of civil techniques (building and construction branch and drawing by computer branch) .The drawing by computer branch qualifies the graduate to make engineering architectural, mechanical and health layout the ,in addition to ground survey, and contributes by preparing the architectural samples for civil installations .
The building and constructions branch aims to graduate technical personnel to carry out implementation civil work items and carrying the lab and fields tests ,surveys ,quantity calculations and projects ,civil work arms.
